About

Hi, I’m Jan!

I am Jan „SinJul“ Openkowski Lusga, a passionate esports event organizer from Frankfurt am Main and founder of 2BeCommUnity, an association of experienced tournament organizers and players in the fighting game genre. I have been actively involved in global esports since 2005, initially with StarCraft: Broodwar and later primarily with fighting games, which remain my great passion to this day.

Who am I?

Tournaments

In 2010, I began designing and organizing tournaments, trade fair booths, and release events, including projects such as Hessen Crash and current tournament series that have become firmly established in the German and European fighting game scene. As the initiator of 2BeCommUnity, I am responsible for the entire organization, planning, and coordination as project manager: from the tournament structure and communication with publishers and partners to the final on-site proceedings.

What I do

My focus is on creating high-quality, inclusive esports events that appeal to competitive players as well as cosplay and casual communities. In addition to pure tournament organization, I advise companies and brands on gaming events, gaming areas, and marketing collaborations in the esports environment, helping them to authentically immerse themselves in the scene.

Always getting involved

Privately, I combine my work with a deep connection to the fighting game community, which I have traveled extensively and helped shape over the years, both as a player, e.g. as a representative for Europe at international events such as the Neo Geo World Tour, as well as a tournament organizer. For me, esports is not just about competition, but above all about passion, community, and shared experiences, and it is precisely this energy that I want to capture in every event I help organize.
